Moody Miniature Manifestations
his series appears to depict haunted interiors and hazy outdoor scenes. These images seem to have a liminal quality.
Are the real or imaged spaces?"

In Moody Miniature Manifestations, artist Carrie Becker invites us into a world where the line between reality and illusion is not just blurred—it’s carefully, hauntingly crafted.
Becker manipulates light, fog, and even iPhone screens to conjure apparitions and atmospheres that feel unsettlingly real. These eerie tableaux demand a second look, not just for their technical achievement but for the emotions they stir: mourning, loneliness, displacement.
Her work transforms sorrow into something distant yet intimately observed. In miniaturizing grief, she offers us the space to examine it without being overwhelmed. Her dioramas become tiny stages on which the emotional weight of loss is enacted safely, allowing viewers to become quiet voyeurs in a world not quite ours, but not quite imaginary either.
This exhibition challenges our sense of scale—of both the visual and the emotional. We are delighted to present this solo show by Carrie Becker, whose vision is as precise as it is poignant.
