Two Years of Art, Vision, and Community

This month, our gallery celebrates its second anniversary, and I find myself filled with gratitude, pride, and wonder. When we opened our (virtual) doors two years ago, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I did know was that I wanted to create a space where artists could be seen, ideas could flourish, and photography—in all its forms—could be appreciated and celebrated.

Since then, our gallery has hosted dozens of thoughtfully curated exhibitions, spotlighted hundreds of photographers from around the world, and grown a vibrant community of artists, collectors, and viewers. From conceptual and experimental work to quiet moments captured in natural light, it’s been a joy to showcase such a wide and expressive range of visual storytelling.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how we’ve stayed true to our values: inclusivity, accessibility, and artistic integrity. Whether through free entry opportunities, our growing online magazine The Decagon, or our short exhibition videos, we strive to make sure artists have a platform that supports—not censors—their work. We've faced a few bumps along the way (yes, including the occasional run-in with YouTube’s content filters), but we've always found ways to adapt and stay creative.

I want to thank each of you who has submitted work, visited an exhibition, shared a post, or simply sent a kind word. Your support makes this space possible. And to our jurors, guest curators, and featured artists: thank you for lending your eyes, your voices, and your vision.

As we step into our third year, we have even more planned—new calls for entry, collaborations, and features that continue to push the boundaries of what an online gallery can be. I hope you’ll stay with us for the journey.

With heartfelt thanks,

John Manno
