Seb Szczepanowski - Kingdoms

The project presents ordinary people in places that are important to them. Places that they themselves create and rule over. Little Kingdom in the surrounding world. Wives, Fathers, Singles... all in their own Worlds.

‘In my photography, I am guided by intuition, the emotion that arises in me when I notice a scene that interests me. Even though I am currently working on several projects, when taking photos I try not to think about it and just immerse myself in the surrounding reality. Be a kind of participating observer. I am looking for moments that are often unnoticed by most people, who usually pass by them indifferently, not paying attention to the "here-and-now" moment. Often it is the play of light on objects, contrasts, a combination of elements creating an interesting composition, someone's gesture, showing emotions, the interplay of visible elements. I try to capture the atmosphere of the moment and the emotions accompanying it, trying to save a kind of ‘Photo Haiku’’.
