"Everything begins with an idea"
Our FLASH exhibits are Free online calls for entry. For this exhibit we are doing something new: The theme is ORDINARY OBJECTS. Please submit photographs that interpret the soul of an everyday object that otherwise does not stand out. But more than just that, we are looking for images that convey a feeling, emotion, a purpose. Let's get creative!
Accepted works will be shown on the gallery's website for six weeks or more and will be uploaded to our YouTube channel as a short video. It will also be made into a printed catalogue available for purchase.

This is completely free. NO FEES AT ALL.

The submission window for each FLASH exhibit is open until aboout 30 images have been accepted for the show. Then your entries will be applied to the next FLASH exhibit.

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for photographers to showcase their talent and creativity through the lens of self-portraiture. Our gallery is seeking captivating and thought-provoking images that explore the theme of self-portraits. This call for entry invites photographers from all backgrounds and levels of experience to submit their most compelling works.
Theme: Self Portraits in Focus
Self-portraits have long been a powerful means of self-expression, allowing artists to delve into their own identities, emotions, and experiences. Through this theme, we encourage photographers to explore the multifaceted nature of self-portraiture, capturing their unique perspectives, narratives, and inner worlds.
Submission Guidelines:
1. Eligibility: This call for entry is open to photographers worldwide over the age of 18, both amateur and professional, who are passionate about self-portraiture.
2. Image Specifications: Please submit digital images in JPEG format with the width being at least 1500 pixels. The maximum file size for each image is 2MB. Ensure that your images are clear, well-composed, and visually engaging. Name your files “YourFirstName-YourLastName_Title.jpeg” (eg. “Jack-Frost_Snowman.jpeg”)
3. Number of Entries: Each photographer may submit up to five (5) self-portrait images for consideration. The non-refundable entry fee is $30.

Important Dates:
- Submissions Open: September 1, 2023
- Submission Deadline: January 10, 2024
- Notification of Acceptance: January 15, 2024
- Exhibition Dates: January 15 - February 28, 2024
Selection Process:
A panel of judges, comprising experienced photographers and art professionals, will carefully review all submissions. The selection will be based on artistic merit, technical proficiency, originality, and adherence to the theme. Selected photographers will be notified via email by January 15, 2024.
Exhibition and Recognition:
The chosen self-portraits will be showcased in a dedicated online exhibition on our gallery’s website, providing a platform for photographers to share their work with a wider audience. Additionally, selected artists will receive recognition through our social media channels and promotional materials. A short video of the exhibit will be posted to our YouTube channel, and an exhibition catalogue will be made available for sale.

A cash award of $300 and one copy of the exhibition catalogue* will be given to the First Place entry and the photographer will be offered a free gallery in the FEATURED section of the website. This winning entry will also be promoted on social media.

The Second Place entry will be given one copy of the exhibition catalogue* and promotion on social media.

The Third Place entry will be promoted on social media.
