Decagon Gallery would like to invite you to submit your work for our upcoming exhibition, "Openings".
A cash award of $200 will be given to the First Place entry, as decided by our jurors.
The theme of "Openings" can be interpreted in various ways. Photographs that relate to this theme may showcase physical openings such as doorways, windows, or tunnels, or metaphorical openings such as opportunities, beginnings, or breakthroughs. Photographers can also explore the idea of openings in a more abstract manner, such as through the use of light and shadow, negative space, or unconventional angles.
We are excited to see your unique and creative interpretations of "Openings" through the lens of your camera. Submissions are open to all photographers over the age of 18, regardless of experience level or location. Selected works will be displayed in our online art gallery during the month of August, with the potential for additional exposure through social media and online publications.
The deadline for submissions is July 10, 2023. Notification of acceptance will be sent out by July 31, 2023. There is no fee for submissions and no other fees at all. The accepted entries will be showcased in an online exhibition, and an exhibition catalog will be available to purchase from a print-on-demand service.
