Whether it's the tranquil allure of a serene lake, the rhythmic dance of ocean waves, the intricate patterns of rainfall, or the reflective qualities of water in urban landscapes, we encourage you to delve into the diverse and evocative nature of water. This is an opportunity to show the world your unique vision and interpretation of this vital element, and to engage viewers with the compelling stories and emotions that water evokes. Selected works will be featured in a prominent online exhibition, offering exposure and recognition for your talent. Submission Guidelines: - Submit your photographs depicting the theme "H2O Perspectives", formatted to at least 2000 pixels on the long side. - Name your files prior to uploading: FirstName-LastName_title - Include a brief artist statement describing your inspiration and connection to the theme. - Deadline for submissions: June 1, 2024 - Accepted entries will be announced, and the exhibit will be on line, soon after June 1. - Submit your entries using this form. Are you passionate about capturing the world around you and raising awareness about pressing environmental issues? We invite photographers from around the globe to participate in our online photography competition focused on the timely and important theme of "Environmental Challenges".
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries, as well as promotion on social media and email blasts. The first place winner will be offered a free exhibition in the gallery’s FEATURED section.
Through your lens, showcase the environmental challenges that our planet faces, from climate change and pollution to biodiversity loss and sustainable development. This is an opportunity to use the power of photography to shed light on the critical issues impacting our environment and inspire positive change.
DECAGON GALLERY is an online photography gallery based in Brooklyn, NY that specializes in contemporary photography. The gallery offers photographers several curated platforms to showcase their work and connect with art enthusiasts worldwide.

Competition Details and Prizes:
- The competition is open to all photographers over 18 of all skill levels, from amateurs to professionals.
- Entries will be judged based on creativity, composition, relevance to the theme, and overall impact.
- The winning photographs will be featured in an online exhibition and across our social media platforms.
- The photographer with the First Place entry will receive $300
- Second Place entry will receive $200
- And Third Place entry will receive $100
- An exhibition catalogue will be made available to purchase from a print-on-demand service.
- This exhibit will be edited into a 4 to 5 minute video posted on our YouTube channel for the world to see.
Submission Guidelines:
- Submit your original photographs that vividly depict environmental challenges.
- Each participant can submit up to TEN images - jpg or jpeg files only.
- Format your images to be at least 2000 pixels on the long side. Name your files: FirstName-LastName_title.jpg
- Provide a brief description of your art, including the environmental challenge it represents.
Important Dates:
- Submissions officially opens: April 20, 2024
- Submission Deadline: June 25, 2024
- Notification of Acceptance: June 30, 2024
- Exhibition Dates: July 1 — August 31, 2024
How to Enter:
- Submit your entries here by June 25, 2024. The entry fee is only $20 for 4 images and $4 for each additional image up to a total of 10 images.
- If you are experiencing a financial hardship or live in a war zone, please reach out to us for a reduced entry fee.
- You retain full rights to your submitted photographs, but you allow Decagon Gallery to publish your photographs in this online exhibition and to promote the exhibition and the gallery. Your photos will never be distributed to anyone without your permission.
